Singapore Countdown 2011

For the 2011 countdown, Jelly and I went to Singapore. We left JB at around 10am and we headed off to East Coast Park, Marine Parade. Its been years since I last went there so I was a bit scared that it wouldn't be as nice as I remembered. I've been telling Jelly about this place for quite some time but she will always say"Aiya, sky fall down also you won't bring me la." Finally, I managed to bring her. I was really eager to see Jelly rollerblading. LOL. I've been picturing her rollerblading for quite some time. I could imagine her falling here and there. Its gonna be hilarious. So finally, my dream came true and just like I imagined, she fell down countless times. The funniest was the time when she fell down on her ass. That was super hilarious. She was quite pissed at herself for not being able to skate. 8 to 9 years old little girls were passing by her laughing. It was funny. Well that's my Jelly. Always know how to make me laugh. Its been a while since I last skate. I was quite scared that I was not able to skate anymore, but when I put on the skates, my legs moved naturally and smoothly against the pavement. The feeling of the wind blowing against me was lovely. It brings back old memories when my brother and I would Rollerblade all over the neighbourhood. Oh, I remember that there used to be a really nice smooth hill in my old neighbourhood. My brother and I would go to the hill every week and go down the hill. It was nice. We were quite daring when we were little. I wonder if I can still go down that hill. That would be lovely.

Okay back to the story, we left Marine Parade at around 3pm and headed to Orchard Road. Did some shopping and by the time we left Orchard, it was around 9pm. We parked in Chinatown and walked all the way to Clarke Quay. There were already a lot of people there. We managed to find a nice spot facing the Singapore river and waited for the fireworks. I wanted to go to Marina Bay but Jelly said that we should be able to see the fireworks from Clarke Quay. Of course I was right, and we should have went to Marina Bay to get a better view. She is so gonna kill me when she reads this. Kidding dear. Well, in the end we managed to get quite a nice view of the fireworks. After the fireworks, we went back home. It was nice celebrating New Year with Jelly. Happy 2011 everyone.
